Wesley Robert Benjamin

Wesley Robert Benjamin passed away peacefully Oct 13, 2020 at Sanford Medical Center Fargo, ND.  Wesley was born September 6, 1957 in Sioux City, Iowa to Robert Joseph Benjamin and Hilda Mary Benjamin. He graduated from Park Rapids in 1975 and continued his education at Wadena Technical School.

In 1980 Wesley was married to Susan Dennis; this marriage was blessed with a son, Clayton. Wesley began a welding business in Park Rapids followed by a career in organic farming, which included edible beans and later organic dairy. Wesley was recognized with many national dairy awards. Wes will be remembered for his smile, contagious laugh, kindness, generosity, great work ethic, and innovative love of farming.

Wesley is survived by his son, Clayton Benjamin,  Park Rapids, MN, mother, Hilda Benjamin, Park Rapids, MN; siblings: Gerald (Joy) Benjamin, Menahga, MN, Diane (Mark/Bart) Gengler, Slayton, MN, Karen (Richard) Berardi, Sacramento, CA, Steven Benjamin, Park Rapids MN, Janice (Jeff) Renner, Park Rapids, MN,  Rita (Chris) Holter, Bemidji, MN as well as many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents; father, Robert Benjamin, and sister-in-law Deborah Benjamin.

Celebration of Wesley's life will be held on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at 12:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M.,  at Heartland Park - Shelter #2, in Park Rapids, Minnesota.
