Thomas Eugene Dickinson

                Thomas Eugene Dickinson, age 64, a lifelong Park Rapids, MN area resident, peacefully passed away at his home in Park Rapids, MN on Tuesday, December 11, 2018.

                Tom was born on June 1, 1954 in Park Rapids to Roscoe and Ada (Ogden) Dickinson.  He attended Park Rapids Public Schools, graduating with the Class of 1972.  As a young man, Tom began working for his brother, Doug in the Dickinson Construction/Redi-Mix Company in a career that spanned nearly 40 years.  In June of 1973, Tom was married to Barbara Jeanette Paulson and they were blessed with two sons: David and Derek.  Tom loved the Park Rapids area for its lakes and forests.  He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt.  He especially enjoyed bow hunting.  He was a skilled woodworker and enjoyed building furniture for his family and friends.  Tom was an avid science-fiction movie buff.  In March of 1986 he was united in marriage to Holly Heegard.

                Tom is survived by his two sons: David (Michelle) Dickinson of Milnor, ND and Derek (Bethany Schoolcraft) Dickinson of Crete, ND; six precious grandchildren: Kylie, Dakota, McKenna, Austen, David Jr., and Zackery; one great-grandson, Thorin; three sisters:  Tess (Frank) Blanchard of Osage, Louise (Dean) Christianson of Ponsford, MN and Irene (Dan) Gartner of Park Rapids; one brother, Jim Dickinson of Park Rapids; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

                Tom was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Chuck and Doug.

                Funeral services will be held 6 PM Saturday, December 15, 2018 at the Jones-Pearson Funeral Home in Park Rapids.  Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service.
