Terry Helen Moen

THERESA “Terry” HELEN MOEN February 6, 1935 – December 30, 2019               Theresa “Terry” Helen Moen (Wysoski), 84, of Park Rapids, MN passed peacefully into eternal life at home surrounded by her immediate family on Dec 30, 2019.                  Terry was born Feb 6, 1935 on a farm in Walsh County, ND during a snowstorm.  She grew up in Warsaw and Minto, ND, graduating from Minto High School in 1953.  She worked in Grand Forks and Minneapolis at Standard Oil, then for IBM at the Grand Forks A.F.B.  She married Richard Moen on June 27, 1959. Rick joined IBM in March of 1960 and they moved to several locations, mainly Milwaukee and Chicago.  After retirement, they moved to Minnesota in 1992 which was their dream. Terry will be remembered by her family as a loving wife, devoted mother, and grandmother.  She always had time to tell a joke, play a game, share a smile, and lend a hand (or hot dish) – she was a role model of what it means to be a truly good person.              Terry is survived by husband Richard; children Ray (Cheryl), Glen Ellyn, IL; Kristi (Tom Thompson), Warrenville, IL; grandchildren Andrew Moen, Canton, MI, and Taylor Moen, Champaign, IL; sister Jane Zidon, Pisek, ND; brother Joe (Sue) Wysoski, Fargo ND; brother Jim (Nancy) Wysoski, Mesa, AZ; brothers-in-law Wayne (Suzy) Moen, Steele, ND, and Wallace (Roberta) Moen, Yakima, WA; sister-in-law, Helen Moen, Lakota, ND; many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends with whom she was very fortunate to have in her life.             She preceded in death by parents, Joe and Helen Wysoski; daughter LeAnn; brother Ray Wysoski; sister Irene Larson; brothers-in-law Pete Sevigny, Tony Zidon, L.W. Larson, and Hilman Moen.             The family welcomes friends and family for a visitation celebrating Terry’s life on Friday, January 10, 2020 from 5-8 pm at the Jones-Pearson Funeral Home, Park Rapids, MN.  A mass of Christian burial will take place at 11 am on Saturday, Jan 11, 2020 at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church with visitation starting at 10 am and a luncheon following the ceremony.  Interment will be held privately at a later date.             In lieu of flowers, please make donations to CHI St. Joseph’s Health Hospice Care.   Please visit www.jonespearson.com for more details and photos.
