Robert Samuel Karkinen

Robert Samuel Karkinen, 53 of Fergus Falls, passed away on March 30, 2026. Robert was born October 9, 1972 to Harold and Betty Karkinen in Perham, MN. He attended school in Frazee and Fergus Falls, where he graduated.

Robert attended the Willows (Productive Alternatives) in Fergus Falls where he enjoyed field trips, music events, shopping and ball games. At the time of his passing he was living in a group home called Maybell. He enjoyed the employees that spent time with him. Robert enjoyed watching TV, listening to music, and visiting with his mother Betty, who would share Dairy Queen with him when she visited.

Robert is survived by his sister Deborah Leitheiser, niece Tamara (Marty) Jenson , great niece Kenda (Lucy) Jenson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Betty Karkinen, brothers, James, Richard, David and his baby sister.
