Richard "Rick" Florentine Coy

Richard “Rick” Florentine Coy, 79, of Park Rapids, MN, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2024, at Sanford Medical Center in Bemidji, MN with his wife by his side.  

Richard was born on December 24, 1944, in St. Paul, MN, the son of James and Eleanor (Anderson) Coy. 

Rick loved spending time with his grandchildren.  They would spend time laughing and watching cartoons.  He also loved spending time playing games on the computer and spending time with his dog smokey.  He lived in the Park Rapids for 38 years and had many pets.  He loved animals. 

Rick is survived by his loving wife of 38 years Cheri of Park Rapids, MN; children: Brandy (Gary) Coy- Phillips, and Tim (Rose) Coy; grandchildren: Ricoy Phillips, Damian Phillips, Angel Phillips, Rosa Cooper, Elizabeth Coy all of Park Rapids and many other family and friends.

 He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter and Elizabeth Lanz, mom, Eleanor Kenzy, and his best friends Harvey Johnson. He will be missed.

The family would like to thank all for the care and friendship that was formed while he was being cared for.
