Richard Henry Ladely

Richard Henry Ladely, age 50, of Park Rapids, MN, passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at his home in Park Rapids, MN.

Richard was born on June 18, 1974, in Park Rapids, MN, the son of William and Wanda (Meier) Ladely. He joined the Cub Scouts and went all the way through until he received his Eagle Scout Award. He attended school in Park Rapids and graduated from Park Rapids High School. Richard moved to Minneapolis after graduation to attend college. While in Minneapolis he worked as a cook for local restaurants. He graduated from the Brown Institute in Minneapolis with an Associate Degree in Advertising Design.

He moved back home to Park Rapids. He continued to work as a cook in various restaurants in Park Rapids and Bemidji until his health made it so he was unable to work. He loved music and played with a few local bands. He loved painting and drawing. He also loved hanging out with his friends and spending time with family. He loved traveling with his family and has been to many states.

Richard is survived by his parents: William and Wanda (Meier) Ladely; sister, Robin Ladley (Michael Offerdahl); a niece he loved very much, Regan Offerdahl; uncles: Rick (Mary) Meier, Randy Meier, and Ken Ladely, and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Orville and Mabel Ladely; and maternal grandparents, Robert and Lois Meier.

There will be a celebration of life at Dean Park on June 7, 2025 from 1 to 4 PM.
