Patricia Carol Wall

PATRICIA CAROL WALL December 7, 1932 – July 16, 2020 Patricia Carol Wall, age 87, of Edina, MN, peacefully passed into eternity to join her loved ones who went on before her on July 16, 2020 at the Fairview-Southdale Hospital in Edina. Patricia was born on December 7, 1932 to Clifford Fredrick and Peggy (King) Davenport in Rockford, England. In 1955, as an adventurous young woman, she traveled across the Atlantic and made her home in Canada for a time. Several years later she ventured into the United States and gained employment in Detroit, Michigan. It was here she met a handsome young man named Michael Wall. They fell in love and were married in Canada in 1958. The couple made their home in Michigan and later in Wisconsin. Her heart was broken with his untimely death in 1974. She brought her husband back to his hometown, Park Rapids, MN where he was buried in St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery. Throughout her life, Patricia had a profound love for animals of all shapes and sizes. For many years she had a pet bird named Toby. Patricia loved feeding the ducks and swimming. She also enjoyed traveling and playing bingo. She was especially proud to have earned her United States Citizenship in 1987. For the past years, she has made her home in Minneapolis where she made her home in Bloomington and most recently had resided at the Edenbrook of Edina retirement Home. She will be lovingly remembered by her two sisters-in-law: Ruth (Hal) Miller of Winchester, VA and Sarah “Sally” Lester of Park Rapids, MN; as well as many dearly loved nieces and nephews living throughout the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Michael, her two sisters: June Margaret Reed and Victoria Francis Davies; and her two brothers: Peter Nelson Davenport and Robin Reginald Davenport. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday, July 23, 2020 at the St. Peter The Apostle Catholic Church in Park Rapids with Father Thomas Friedl celebrating. Interment will be made next to her husband in St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery of Park Rapids. Visitation will begin at the Jones-Pearson Funeral Home 10 AM on Thursday.
