Pamela Kay Albee, age 68 of Park Rapids Minnesota, passed away on Saturday, January 10th, 2026 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Park Rapids.

Pamela was born on December 25th, 1957 to Raymond and Muriel (Rogers) Bortz in Saint Paul Minnesota. She attended So. St. Paul High school and was a Packerette. During her senior year she became a young mother to her son Christopher. In the Fall of 1975, she married Alan “Buzz” Albee. The couple moved from their Minnetonka home to Park Rapids where Pamela would give birth to her second son, Patrick.

Pamela would go on to her second marriage with Brad Van Buskirk in 2011. In her final days, her significant other, Bill Rommel would be by her bedside.

Pamela enjoyed gardening and maintaining her beautiful plants. She loved her grandchildren and her many fur-babies. In addition, she was active in her son's hockey and never missed a home game. Pamela was very sociable and loved entertaining, especially when it came to food as she was an incredible cook and foodie. She loved fashion and shopping at the local boutiques. She also liked spending time in her “she-shed.” She was fond of thrifting and antiquing with her sisters. She will be remembered for her honest and straightforward nature.

She is survived by her three children: Christopher (Emily) Albee of Avon, MN; Patrick (Silvana) Albee of Kehrig, Germany; and McKenzie (Jason) Eilers of Peyton, CO; two sisters, Linda (Michael) McMorrow of Dorset, MN; and Gayle (David) Brodt of Pequot Lakes, MN; four grandchildren, Liv Kay, Skyla Rose, Brielle and Emmett; and several nieces and nephews.
