Morgan Taylor Avenson

Morgan Taylor Avenson, age 22 of Bemidji, MN, died from injuries sustained in an auto accident on June 19, 2022.

She was born on September 28, 1999, in Park Rapids to Curtis and Liza Avenson.  She attended school in Bemidji graduating from Bemidji High School with the Class of 2017.  After graduation her compassion for others was shown in her work in healthcare as a nursing assistant.  This past year Morgan worked as a closer/escrow agent for Sathre Title Company where she was loved, nurtured and able to continue her passion for helping others.  She loved everything to do with the outdoors, baking, and above all loved spending time with family and friends. 

Morgan will be lovingly remembered by her parents Curtis Avenson of Bemidji and Liza Brotherton of Raleigh, NC, step-parents Kimberly Sletta Avenson and Jeremy Tank; six brothers: Owen, Grayson, Brett, Dylan, Clayton and Chase; four sisters Sidney, Makenna, Aanika, and Alexia; as well as her grandparents; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A celebration of Morgan’s life will be held on Friday, June 24th at 7pm at the Bemidji Evangelical Covenant Church.  Funeral services are planned for 4pm Sunday, June 26th at the First English Lutheran Church in Dorset, MN with Reverend Chris Davis officiating.  Visitation will begin at 3pm at the church.  Interment will be made at the Dudley Memorial Cemetery.  The Jones-Pearson Funeral home is entrusted with the arrangements.
