Michelle Ann Koskiniemi

October 21, 1966 — June 20, 2019

        Michelle Ann Koskiniemi, age 52, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at her home in Osage, MN.  Michelle was born October 21, 1966 to Michael and Patricia (Stewart) Carlson in Minneapolis, MN.  She attended public school in Minneapolis and Staples, MN.  Michelle went on to attend the Minnesota School of Business in Minneapolis.           Michelle married and moved to Seattle, WA, living there 11 years.  She worked as wife, mother and did some day care.  She was also employed as a legal secretary part time.  Michelle returned to Minnesota with her children to live in Park Rapids, MN.  She worked as a manager at Orton’s and in the shipping department at RDO.              Michelle met Steve Koskiniemi in 2010.  He was to become her best friend, true love, supporter, as well as her husband.  Michelle enjoyed flowers, the outdoors, wildlife, music and spoiling her dogs. Michelle loved her family and will be dearly missed by all of us.          She is survived by her husband, Steve;  Daughters:  Anna Pierce and Bethany (Andrew) Longtine;  Sons: Michael Rough and Patrick Rough;  Grandchildren:  Amelia, Austin, Alijah, Aden, Isabel, Juliet, and Kathryn.  Step-daughters: Molly, Ashley, and Jennifer.  Mother and Step-dad,  Patricia (Larry) Sandburg.  Michelle was preceded in death by her father Michael Carlson; Sister and Brother-in-law, Shari and Miroslav Stojanovic and her grandparents.    A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm, Sunday, June 30, 2019 at Jones Pearson Funeral Home, Park Rapids, MN. With the Rev. Loren Ferch officiating.  Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Motley, MN.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home for one hour prior to the memorial service. a light lunch will be held following the service.       To leave an online condolence please visit:   www.jonespearson.com
