Larry Gene Lichty

Larry Gene Lichty, age 65 of Menahga, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at his home with his mother at his side. He was born in Perham, MN on October 29, 1960 to Donna Jean (Leske) and Terry Eggers. He spent his childhood in Wisconsin, was educated in Frazee and graduated from New York Mills, Minnesota. Larry enjoyed gardening, flowers and had many Kabota tractors often calling them “his toys”. He also relished in helping neighbors with their gardens, with tilling, moving logs and helping with mowing the river grasslands.

In the evenings, you could find Larry spending time on his smart phone.

In recent years, he enjoyed his retirement from working in the Turkey farms. He loved having his mother close by and their time together was cherished.

Larry is survived by his mother, Donna Jean Skogen, of Menahga; half-siblings, Jason, Kelly, Julie and Sandra; other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Terry, and half-brother Clay. 

The family is planning a graveside service at Spruce Grove Union Cemetery at a later date.
