LARRY NORBERT HOLLER
March 23, 1956 – March 26, 2019
Larry Norbert Holler, age 63, of Park Rapids, MN, formerly of Bemidji, MN, suddenly and unexpectedly was ushered into Heaven’s glory on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 while working on a job site near Guthrie, MN.
Larry was born on March 23, 1956 in Park Rapids, MN to Norbert and Elsie (Robbins) Holler. He attended public school in Park Rapids where he graduated from high school with the Class of 1974. Shortly thereafter, he enlisted in the United States Army where he proudly served his country from January 7, 1975 until the end of his Army Reserve commitment in July of 1982. Larry then returned to Park Rapids where he worked as a logger for a number of years. Later, Larry ventured to Pheonix, AZ where he worked for a painting contractor for a time. He returned to Park Rapids and started his own staining contracting business, specializing in staining log homes. In addition to this work, Larry also supplemented his income by working as a commercial truck driver. Larry was blessed with eight children who he loved to take camping and doing other outdoor activities with. Over the years, more blessings were added in the births of his grandchildren who he also loved with all his heart.
Larry will be lovingly remembered by his children: Shad Holler of Reno, Nevada, Crystal Jurado of Oak Grove, MN, Amanda (Mike) Pulczinski of Laporte, MN, Adam Holler of St. Paul, MN, Dylan Holler of Bemidji, MN, Rodney (Chrissy) Scandin of Two Harbors, MN, Melissa (Bryan) Henigan of Oak Harbor, WA, and Sammy Scandin of Nevis, MN; as well as eleven precious grandchildren; his five sisters: Pam (Phil) Tharaldson of Osage, Linda (Albert) Santos of Las Vegas, NV, Shirley Bower of Park Rapids, Vicki (Pete) McKnight of Blue River, Oregon and Darla (Ray) Smith of Park Rapids; his four brothers: Rod Holler of Park Rapids, Randy (Dori) Holler of Idaho, Greg (Gini) Holler of Bemidji and Bradley Mordini of Bemidji; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Rick; a nephew, RJ and a niece, Summer Sue.
Services will be held 2 PM Tuesday, April 2nd, 2019 at the Jones-Pearson Funeral Home in Park Rapids with visitation beginning one hour prior to the services. Military honors will be conducted by the Otto Hendrickson American Legion Post #212 in Park Rapids under the command of Lefty Anderson. The urn bearer will be his daughter, Amanda. Honorary urn bearers will be the rest of his children. Interment will be made next to his mother, Elsie at the Greenwood Cemetery in Park Rapids.
