Dorothy Hazel Feir

Dorothy Mohn Feir, 99, of Park Rapids and formerly of Moorhead, died Sunday, November 27, 2022, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Park Rapids.

She was born on November 20, 1923, to Thomas and Adella Mohn in Buxton, ND. The family moved to rural Lake Park MN where she attended country school through grade 8 and graduated from Lake Park High School in 1941. Her interests included track events, guitar and singing. After attending Interstate Business College in Fargo, she was employed at American State Bank in Moorhead

She married Kermit Feir on June 23, 1945, in Lake Park. For 46 years they made their home in Moorhead where they raised their five children. Dorothy was active in many church programs and was secretary at Christ the King Lutheran Church for several years where she and Kermit were charter members. She also sold many different products, was in real estate, and was bookkeeper for Kermit's construction business. She authored many poems, one which was published. Above all, Dorothy was a woman of faith which was evident in all aspects of her life.

In 1991 they moved to Park Rapids and joined Riverside United Methodist Church.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Marilyn (Lynn) Berry of Park Rapids; Gary (Carol) of Lake Park; Bradley (Karen) of Moorhead; Gregory (Anita) of Pelican Rapids, MN; and James (Lynda) of Glyndon, MN; brother Warren Mohn of Detroit Lakes; 18 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her husband, Kermit; parents; sister, Ginny Anderson; and brother, Richard Mohn.
