Dennis Luedke

Dennis James Luedke, Age 81, of Park Rapids MN Previously from New Germany MN, Passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 31, 2023. 

Dennis was born August 5, 1941, in New Germany Mn, the son of Fred and Gladys (Roepke) Luedke.Growing up on family farm and attending Watertown school where he graduated in 1959. After graduation Dennis started his career working at Tonka Toys. Dennis enjoyed many things including attending dances where he soon met the love of his life Shirley. Dennis and Shirley united in marriage on Sept. 1^st, 1962.  

After their marriage Dennis continued to farm and sell Feed to local farmers, also taking on a new job at Advance Machine. During this time, Dennis did not leave behind his passion for hunting, fishing and snowmobiling but instead chose to pursue it more and in coming years and purchased a property by Park Rapids MN where they decided to build a home and retire. Dennis loved the lake life and having all the grandkids come visit. He enjoyed playing water sports from tubing and water skiing to lake side bonfires and tossing horse shoes.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Gladys Luedke; grandchild, Casey Luedke; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Reinhardt and Helen Will

Dennis is survived by his loving family: Wife Shirley (Will) Luedke of Park Rapids; children; Lori Ann (Russel) Schurmann of Watertown, David Luedke of Park Rapids, Bradley (Pamela) Luedke of Mayer,  sister-in-law, Betty and Donald Krueger of Prior Lake; brother-in-law, Larry and Anne Will of Jordan, grandchildren, Jeremy (Tessa) Schurmann, Hannah (Aaron) Hulke, Tyler (Kara) Luedke, Ashley (Jerrod) Wilk, Trevor (Alyssa) Luedke, Austin Luedke (special friend Cassie), McKenna Luedke (special friend Nathan), great-grandchildren, Kyla Wilk, Kayzlin Wilk, Jace Wilk, Ryker Luedke, Remy Hulke, Colton Hulke, Nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

The celebration of Life will be held June 24, 2023 at First English Lutheran Church at 1:00 PM.  Visitation will start at 11 am
