David Wayne Wikman

September 19, 1953 — April 8, 2023

David Wayne Wikman, one of the nicest, Kindest persons anyone could ever know.   He didn't complain about anyone or anything.  Not even the disease that took his life. David passed away at home with family at his side on April 8th after a lengthy struggle with pancreatic cancer that had spread to other organs. He was 69 years of age.

David was born on September 9, 1953 to Walter and Senia (Haataja) Wikman in Park Rapids.  He lived in the Menahga area most of his young life.  He attended Menahga Public School until leaving  with the Class of 1972.  He moved to Minneapolis where he spent most of his working years.  He did move back to Menahga to spend his retirement years.

David's family would like to thank the Hospice team from St. Joseph's Hospital for the care and love that enabled David to stay at home throughout his illness.  Thankyou to all.

David was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers: Leroy, Gerald and Dale.

He will be lovingly remembered by his family; Brothers: Clarence (Kathy), Steve and sister, Kristi (Lindy); his nieces and nephews and all his friends.  You are free now David, rest in peace.
