Bruce Lee Patton

Bruce Lee Patton, of Park Rapids, MN, peacefully passed into eternal life on Sunday, October 16, 2022, at the Centra Care Hospital in St. Cloud, MN at the age of 79 years, 6 months, and 23 days. Bruce was born on March 24, 1943, in Park Rapids, MN to Ambrose and Julia (Peterson) Patton. He attended public school and grew into manhood in Park Rapids. On July 9, 1966, he was united in marriage to Judy Steinke at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Park Rapids. They were blessed with 3 children: Wayne, Sandy, and Paul. As a young man, Bruce gained employment working for Clyde Johnson. He also trapped leeches and worked at the Post Plant until it closed. He worked at Lamb-Weston-RDO for 25 years until he retired. He loved the outdoors; especially when he could be out hunting or fishing. Later in his life he enjoyed going for rides in the country. He enjoyed being out on his deck with his binoculars and watching the deer and Sand Hill Cranes that graced his property. Bruce will be survived by his daughter, Sandy (Ronald Jr,) Carnell of Park Rapids and his son, Paul (Natalie Trettel) Patton also of Park Rapids; his 12 dearly loved grandchildren and his 15 precious great grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy in Feb. of 2009; his son, Wayne in April of 2018 as well as all his siblings. A celebration of Bruce’s life will be held 2 PM Friday, October 28, 2022, at the Jones-Pearson Funeral Home in Park Rapids. Visitation will begin one hour prior. Rev. Bill Meyer will be officiating. Inurnment will be at the Greenwood Cemetery.
