Arland George Greenfield December 20, 1933 – January 5, 2020 Remembering the life of Arland George Greenfield       Arland Greenfield passed away on Jan. 5th, 2020 in Park Rapids, MN.        He was born Dec. 20th, 1933 to Arend and Gertie Greenfield and was raised on a farm near Kamrar, IA.  After graduating from high school, he started farming.  He married his high school sweetheart Jeri Hobbs on June 7th, 1953 at the Little Brown Church.       Arland loved farming and raised pigs and he also raised turkeys for a time.  He served as church treasurer and board member for many years at the Blairsburg Alliance Church.  He also enjoyed teaching boys Sunday school class.  His kids have fond memories of seeing him early in the morning at the kitchen table with a big bowl of Wheaties and his Bible.  He and Jeri loved to travel and saw most of the States as well as overseas trips to visit family.  Jeri was his best friend and they were married 66 years.       He is survived by his daughter, Becky (Chuck) Folkestad; daughter-in-law, Janice Greenfield; son-in-law, Mark Petrie; two sisters: Thora (Dennis) Peterson, and Gelene (Larry) Springston; sister-in-law, Sheila Port; and brother, Lyle (Miriam) Greenfield.       He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeri; son, Tim Greenfield; daughter, Lori Petrie; sister, Janna Greenfield; and brother, Laverene Greenfield.       A celebration of Arland’s life will be held Mon. Feb. 10th, 2020 at the Blairsburg Missionary Alliance Church.  Visitation will be at 10 AM followed by the service at 11 AM.       In keeping with Arland and Jeri’s lifelong priority, memorials will be given to Alliance Missions.          To leave online condolences or to view the video tribute please visit www.jonespearson.com
