Annette Crandall

Annette Arline Crandall passed away in her home in Waterloo, Iowa on October 2nd, 2023. Annette was born at her parents, John and Pete Hopkins home in Roosevelt, MN on June 29th, 1941. She had an older sister Violet Olsen (Hopkins) and younger sister Charlotte Christiansen (Hopkins). Annette went to school in Sebeka, MN where she met her husband Francis Crandall and married him on her 16th Birthday in 1957. They were married at a Farm in Sebeka, MN where Frank worked. Annette and Frank have 2 living children: Tina Crandall and Scott Crandall and her son David Crandall who passed at 17 years of age. Annette was a wife, mother, and homemaker and prided herself on each. Annette’s interests and hobbies were crafts, baking, sewing, gardening, hosting as many family functions before she retired, hunting, and fishing. Especially ice fishing with her husband. Annette prided herself on being a very family-oriented woman. She spent time with as many relatives, distant or direct as much as she could. She stretched her love and caring to each one of them. In 2000 Annette and Frank started their full-time retirement and started snow birding around the country and loved traveling. They settled down in Quartzsite, AZ in 2010 when traveling became too much for them. Annette and Francis celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary in June of 2020 and she lost her husband that July. She moved to Waterloo, IA in August of 2020 where she lived with her daughter, Tina Crandall, for the rest of her days. Annette is survived by her sister Charlotte Christian and her Husband Steve. Her daughter and son, Tina Crandall, and Scott Crandall his wife Muriel. She had 6 grandkids: Candy Hurst and her husband Dyrek, Riley Fish and his wife Christy, Marrio Flateland, Katrina Crandall Young her husband Ray. David Stueber, and James Stueber. She had 14 great grandkids, Theodore, Dalton, Stormy, Belle, Alex, Laura, Sadie, Nathan, Savanah, Paige, Cole, Tracie, Jacob, and Macie. She also had 8 great-great-Grandchildren. Annette was welcomed into the heavens by her parents, John and Pete Hopikins, sister, Violet Olson, her loving husband Francis Crandall, and her precious son David Crandall, and many more with loving arms.
