DENISE LORINE McMAHON April l, 1963 - May 1, 2015 Denise Lorine McMahon, age 52 of Burnsville, MN, formerly of Park Rapids, MN, entered eternal life on May lst, 2015. Denise was born on April 1, 1963 at 2:30 AM at St. Joseph's Hospital in Park Rapids to Leo and Lois (Kohl) Schmid. She attended Park Rapids public schools and then went on to earn her Associates Degree in the legal secretary program at the Dakota County Technical College. She married Scott Holman and was blessed with four beautiful children: Petricia, Jessica, Nichole and Matthew. In 2007, Denise was united in marriage to Matthew McMahon and they made their home in Burnsville. Denise was a mother to seven children, yet acted as a mother to all. She found great joy and love in spending time with her children and grandchildren. Denise also enjoyed motorcycling with her husband, Matt, fishing, baking, reading and was a very involved member of her church, the Hosanna Church in Burnsville. Her memory will be cherished by her husband, Matthew McMahon, Sr.; her children: Petricia Holman of Apple Valley, MN, Jessica (and fiance', Cory Moren) Holman of Big Lake, MN, Nichole (Dan) Micke of Eagan, MN, Matthew McMahon, Jr. Alyssa McMahon and Jenna McMahon all of Grimes, Iowa; her eight precious grandchildren: Devonte, Jennicka, Caitlin, Javon, Cassandra, Jackson, Landon and Rylee; her parents, Leo and Lois Schmid of Park Rapids; her six siblings: Pam Kellner of Park Rapids, Vicki (Kevin) Kallander of Lakewood, CO, Diane (Randy) George of Park Rapids, Dennis Schmid of Park Rapids, Darcy Schmid of Livermore,CA, Valerie (Mark) Craig of Park Rapids; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Matthew Holman, three siblings: David Schmid, Doug Schmid and Brenda Katz and two nephews: Waylon Shepersky and Benjamin Kallander and one niece; Kimberly Bachleitner. Memorial services will be held 2PM Thursday, May 7, 2015 at the Faithbridge Church in Park Rapids with the Rev. David Cripe officiating. Her nephew, Michael Kallander will be sharing personal reflections of Denise in celebrating her life. Special musical tributes will be: "Mama" by the Spice Girls, "Ten Thousand Reasons (Bless The Lord)" by Matt Redman, "The Old Rugged Cross" by Alabama and "See You Again" by Charlie Puth. Her grandchildren will serve as her urnbearers. Interment will be made in the Schmid family plot, located at the Lake Emma Cemetery. A luncheon will be hosted by the Faithbridge Church following the service. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the church.
