Dale Howard Wikman

Dale Howard Wikman, age 67, of Menahga, passed away Friday June 19, 2015 at CHI/St. Joseph's Hospital in Park Rapids, MN from complications due to cancer. Dale was born on December 11, 1947 in Park Rapids, MN to Walter and Senia (Haataja) Wikman. He grew up mostly in the Menahga area where he graduated from Menahga High School in 1966. In 1967, he was united in marriage to Dorothy Arildsen in Sebeka. Throughout the years they were blessed with five children; Thomas, Karen and Kerry (twins), Bradley and Sara. Dale spent most of his working years in the Minneapolis area until his retirement at age 65. He then moved back to Menahga where he lived in the Pine Villa Apartments. He met a lot of nice people there and didn't mind losing a game of Yahtzee to whomever he played against. Dale enjoyed driving, although he rarely hit 60 MPH. It took him a little while longer to get where he was going. He loved getting out in the countryside and seeing the wildlife. Dale's family would like to thank all the people who tried to make his life as comfortable as possible. Dale is survived by his children and their families; three brothers: Clarence (Kathy), Dave, and Steve; one sister; Kristine (Lindy) Odland and their families. Dale was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Leroy and Gerald. A Memorial service will be held at 11 AM Friday July 3, 2015 at the Cardini-Pearson Funeral Home in Menahga, MN.
