ARLENE ROSELLA LINDULA April 14, 1942 - August 20, 2015 Arlene Rosella Lindula, age 73, of Staples, MN, formerly of Sebeka, MN unexpectedly but peacefully entered the glory of heaven Thursday August 20, 2015 at her home in Staples. Arlene was born on April 14, 1942 in Sisseton, South Dakota to Walter and Dorothy (Julius) Kleindl. It was near her parent's farm that she attended country school through the eighth grade. As a young woman she was united in marriage to Melvin Roy Lindula on March 7, 1958 in Virginia, MN. This union was blessed with six children: Roy, Mary, Bruce, Dale, Lorraine and Paul. Her life was deeply saddened by the tragic death of her four year old son, Dale in 1966. The young family farmed near Nevis, MN for a number of years until moving to a small farm near Sebeka, MN. Arlene devoted her life to making a warm and loving home for her husband and children. She was a wonderful cook and baker who will be long remembered for her delicious red velvet cake. Each spring Arlene looked forward to planting a large vegetable garden which she nurtured into fruitful abundance to can and share with family and friends. Even in the final years of her life, Arlene still adorned her apartment building with dozens of colorful potted plants. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and swimming in the area lakes. Throughout her life, Arlene created many beautiful lawn ornaments which she brightly painted. Later in life, she perfected her painting skills with many beautiful mountain and timber landscape paintings. She will be long remembered for her feistiness that always let you know how she felt. Above all, Arlene devoted her life to her husband, her children and her grandchildren who she loved with all her heart. Arlene is survived by her children: Roy (Mary) Lindula of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Mary (Neil) Dwire of Backus, MN, Bruce (Kareen) Lindula of Sebeka, Lorraine (Terry) Altenbrun of Pheonix, AZ and Paul (Tabatha) Lindula of Staples, MN; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; one sister, Darlene (Rueben) Pullman of Huron, SD; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Melvin in 2007, son Dale in 1966, one brother, Harvey and one sister, Rosemary. Funeral service will be held at 11 AM Friday August 28, 2015 at the Cardini-Pearson Funeral Home in Menahga, MN with Reverend Loren Ferch officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 AM Friday. Soloist will be Reverend Loren Ferch who will be singing "God Will Make A Way". Special music will be "Everything I Do, I Do For You" and "I Can Only Imagine". Casket bearers will be Paul Lindula, Mary Dwire, Melvin Lindula, Joshua Conn, Bruce Lindula and Bobby Conn. Honorary casket bearers will be Lorraine & Terry Altenbrun, Tabatha Lindula, Roy Walter Lindula, Neil Dwire, Curtis Scott Lindula, Eugene Melvin Altenbrun, John Paul Lindula, Tim Ford, Shaneil Dwire, Arlene Altenbrun, Lisa Ford, Shawndae Lindula and other family and friends.
