Lucas William Scott Jenkins Lucas William Scott Jenkins born June 2015, Lucas has been called to be an angel on October 25th, 2015. Lucas was born with cleft lip and palette. In spite of this, Lucas was a strong healthy boy. Lucas underwent his first surgery on October 19th, 2015 for cleft lip repair. Lucas came through the surgery like a champ. Lucas was such a good natured, calm and happy baby. Lucas found his smile very quickly and was not afraid to share it with everyone. Lucas' life was shared with his family and friends for only a short time; however impact he made on all of us was immense. With his passing, we would like to remind others that his life is one to be celebrated. We will miss Lucas every single day, especially his smile. Lucas will forever remain in our hearts. Lucas leaves behind his loving parents Savanna (Strickland) and Jeremy Jenkins of Bemidji; Siblings - Elle, Carlton, and Jason Jenkins. Grandparents: Conrad & Lynn Schmid (Bemidji), Jamie Strickland (Pelican Rapids), Randall & Marcia Jenkins (Duluth), and Angela Gordon (Yakima, WA). Special Cousins: Randall & Kian Scott, Dwayne, Malik & D'Andre Johnson (Park Rapids), Janessa & Anna Schmid (Watertown, WI) and many other family members; as well as his special "cleft pal" Shane and his parents, Meghan and Neil. He was greeted in heaven by his Great Grandparents Carl & Dora Sannes, Mary Schmid, Cindy Lawson and Henry & Lorraine Jenkins Uncle Tyler Schmid; Great Uncle Jason Strickland, Great Aunt Barbara Schrader, Great Uncle Dennis Kimball, and Cousin Gabriel Strickland. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, November 7th, 2015 at Calvary Evangelical Free Church in Pelican Rapids with visitation beginning one hour prior to the service at the church.
