Barbara Jean Hamann

  Barbara “Barb” Jean Hamann, age 75, of Park Rapids, MN and formerly of Blaine, MN died suddenly on May 4, 2016 at her home near Park Rapids.  Barb was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and recently great grandmother welcoming her first great grandson into our family.  She enjoyed traveling with her husband, family and friends throughout her life and especially loved their winters spent together in Bullhead City, AZ with the many great friends they were blessed with there.  Barb’s interests and hobbies were varied and too numerous to list but included gardening, crafting, fishing, playing cards and dice as well as being involved in many clubs and activities in the community.  Barb is survived by her children: Wendy Jacobson, Lora Doucette (John), Randy Hamann, Reynold Hamann (Charlene); grandchildren: Mehgan, Maddy & Molly Hamann, Katie & Jeff Jacobson, Kaleigh, Emily & Ren Hamann, Shelby & Dustin Doucette and great grandson, Calvin Lindquist.  Barb was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Ray Hamann as well as her parents and four siblings A celebration of Barb’s wonderful life will be held on Friday, May 13, 2016 at the Jones–Pearson Funeral Home at 608 Park Avenue South – Park Rapids, MN with a visitation starting at 11:00 am followed by a 12:00 pm service and then a luncheon at the Hubbard Community Center with the family.
