Thomas Terry Kendall

THOMAS TERRY KENDALL October 4, 1956 – June 10, 2016 Thomas Terry Kendall, age 59, of Hibbing, MN, formerly of Osage, MN, entered eternity on June 10th, 2016 at his home in Hibbing.  Thomas was born on October 4, 1956 in Park Rapids, MN to Ollie and Alfrieda (Holler) Kendall. He attended school in Osage and Park Rapids, graduating with the Class of 1974.  He then attended Wadena Community College for Electronics, graduating in 1976. Tom moved to Hibbing and went to work for Hibbing Taconite Co., working 30 years and retiring in 2007. Tom married Zita Montzka on June 30, 1979 in Osage, MN. She preceded him in death on June 5, 2004.  Although Tom and Zita were not blessed with children, Twigs, their canine companion became their family and always enjoyed the fishing trips with the Montzka family. Tom is survived by 12 siblings: Darlene Bestland, of Marine on St. Croix; Lottie (Tom) Mettert, Osage; Don (Joyce) Kendall, Osage; Jerald (Pat) Kendall, Rochert; Kathryn (Sava) Filipovic, Florida; Oliver (Chris) Kendall, Frazee; Judy (Ron) Girtz, Park Rapids; Dale Kendall, Moorhead; Laurie (Terry) Kimball, Osage; Sharyl (Bob) Sanford, Menahga; Denise (Dave) Smith, Park Rapids; and Mary Vareberg, of Thief River Falls. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Zita, an infant sister Delores, one brother Joe and a sister-in-law Diana. There will be a memorial service with a luncheon following at the Kendall Family Park in Osage (Tom’s home place) on July 9th, 2016 at 2:00 p.m.   Interment will be made at the Riverside Cemetery in Osage.
