KATHLEEN G. BAILEY July 21, 1949 – September 1, 2016         Kathleen G. Bailey, age 67 of Lake George, MN passed away suddenly in her residence September 1, 2016.  She was born on July 21, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of Clarence & Geraldine (Holmberg) Akerman.  Kathleen was united in marriage to Bruce J. Bailey, and that union was blessed with three children.   Kathleen and Bruce lived in the Chicago area and vacationed in the Lake George area for many years, eventually moving here permanently after retiring.  She enjoyed cross stitching and she loved spending time with family and her grandchildren.              Surviving her are her husband, Bruce of Lake George, MN; one daughter, Karen (Dave) Gacke of Island Lake, IL; two sons: Robert Bailey of Geneva, IL and Jim Bailey of Aurora, IL; and two grandchildren Derek and Katie Gacke.  Her four siblings; Geraldine Akerman of Illinois, Ken Akerman of Lake George, MN; Hoagy Akerman of Kankakee, IL; and Mike Akerman of Milaca, MN.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Geraldine, a daughter-in-law Joy, and two sisters Jackie and Jeanne.         Funeral services will be held 1 PM Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at the Jones-Pearson Funeral Home in Park Rapids, with interment following in Lake George Cemetery.  Visitation will be 5-8 PM Tuesday September 6, 2016 at the Jones-Pearson Funeral Home.            To leave online condolences or to view the video tribute please visit www.jonespearson.com
