Stephen Richard Weech

Stephen R. Weech, age 66, of Park Rapids, passed away November 2, 2016 at Bemidji Sanford hospital after an extended illness with heart failure.  Stephen was born July 20, 1950 in St. James, MN to Richard & Carol (Larson) Weech.  He graduated from North Plainfield High School in New Jersey in 1968.  He then went onto college at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN graduating in 1972.  He married LaDene Brandt on August 24, 1975 in Swea City, Iowa.  The newlywed couple then moved to Lansdale, PA where Stephen had taken a job as an environmental engineer.  They were blessed with three children: Crystal, Heather, and Richard.  In 1995 the family moved to Park Rapids to be closer to family and pursue interests in the ownership of the local A&W Restaurant. Stephen is survived by his wife, LaDene of Park Rapids, his twin daughters; Crystal Weech of Crystal, MN and Heather (Dan) McDonald of Reno, NV and his son Richard Weech of Park Rapids, MN, and his parents, Richard & Carol Weech.  He was preceded in death by an infant twin son and daughter in 1977.  There will be a private family service held at a later date, online condolences may be left for the family by visiting www.jonespearson.com
