MAYNARD ROHLOFF November 15, 1928 – November 22, 2016 Maynard Benjamin Rohloff age 88, of Menahga, MN, formerly of Faribault, MN, passed peacefully into eternity at Green Pine Acres Nursing Home in Menahga, MN, on Tuesday, November 22, 2016. Maynard was born on November 15, 1928 in Le Suer, Minnesota to Benjamin & Ida (Schultz) Rohloff. He attended country school near his parent’s farmstead and grew to manhood helping on the family farm. On December 4, 1954; he was united in marriage to Donna Reinhardt. The union was blessed with 4 children: Keith, Karen, John & Julie. 1967 Maynard purchased a farm near Medford, Minnesota where he operated a farrow to finish hog operation & farmed over 300 acres of cropland. He sold the farm in 1974 & moved with his family to Faribault. There he worked at K & G Auto Parts store which he later purchased and operated until 1984. He then went to work in maintenance for the Shaddack-St. Mary’s Private school until his retirement. He also performed maintenance work at the Heritage Apartments in Faribault, until failing health caused him to give it up. In June 2016 He & Peggy moved to the Green Pine Acres Nursing Home where they could be closer to their son, John & his wife, Linda. On February 18, 1984 he was united in marriage to Peggy Ann Cross at the Christ Lutheran Church in Faribault. They enjoyed 32 years of marriage together until the time of Maynard’s death. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Peggy of Menahga, his 4 children: Keith (Marian) Rohloff of Silver Bay, MN; Karen (Bryon) Nowariak of Red Wing, MN; John (Linda) Rohloff of Nevis, MN; and Julie (Pat) Garofalo of Farmington, MN; 9 grandchildren; 7 precious great grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers: Gordon & Willard, and 1 sister Doris. Funeral Services will be held 2 PM Saturday, November 26, 2016 with Pastor Mark Hesse officiating at the Jones-Pearson Funeral Home with visitation 1 hour priorto the service. Casket bearers will be: John & Linda Rohloff, Josh & Jen Rohloff, Steve & Emma Rohloff and Tosha Rohloff. The luncheon will be hosted at the funeral home following the service.
