Connie was born in Park Rapids on September 10, 1948 to Clifford and Edna (Lindgren) Conklin. She attended the Linnell Country School and then the Osage Public School through the eighth grade before going on to attend high school in Park Rapids. As a young woman, Connie ventured to White Bear Lake, MN where she lived with her sister, Nancy and husband, Bart where she helped care for their children and also worked in a nursing home for a time. In 1966, she was united in marriage to Delvin Harry Keezer. They were blessed with five children: Bridget, Shane, Kelly, Delvin, and Nick. The young family first made their home in Park Rapids before moving out to the country in Savannah Township of Becker County where she lived within a mile of her sister, Nancy. Connie devoted herself to making a loving home for her husband and children. In 1976, Connie’s life was forever changed when she endured the heartbreak of her husband’s death at the young age of 43, leaving her with their children to raise by herself when her oldest child was just 7 years old. Through determination, much emotional strength and faith, Connie cleaned cabins and resorts throughout the Park Rapids area to provide for her children. When she was able to garner some free time, she enjoyed playing bingo, dancing or socializing with family and friends. Above all, Connie loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren with all her heart. She will be lovingly remembered by her five children: Bridget (Tom) Denny of Oak Grove, MN, Shane Keezer of Anoka, MN, Kelly (Georgette) Keezer, Delvin (Michelle) Keezer and Nick (Cathy) Keezer all of Park Rapids; 17 grandchildren and 5 precious great grandchildren; her sister, Nancy Glatzmaier of Park Rapids; three brothers: Darell (Judy) Conklin of Mahnomen, Wesley (Deb) Conklin and Ricky Conklin all of Park Rapids; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Connie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Delvin and her brother, Larry. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, February 4, 2017 at the Jones-Pearson Funeral Home in Park Rapids. Visitation will be held from 5 PM to 8 PM Friday, Feb. 3rd and will continue on Saturday beginning one hour prior to the services. A luncheon will be hosted by the family following the service. Interment will be made in the Conklin family plot of the Linnell Cemetery near Ponsford. To leave on line condolences or to view the video tribute please visit www.jonespearson.com
