She is survived by six children: Linda McCoy of Livermore, California, Larry (Edith) Broadbent, Osage, Minnesota; Dean (Cindy) Broadbent, Pinckney, Michigan; Jan (Delmar) Johnson, Fairbanks, Alaska; Nancy (Mike) Robertson, Woodbury, Minnesota; and Douglas Broadbent, Park Rapids, as well as eight grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Mildred was a life-long resident of Hubbard County. Mildred married Jake Broadbent in 1936, spending the first years of her married life in Hubbard.  They moved to Park Rapids in 1944 and started a small dairy farm.  She continued to live at that  location until her move to Diamond Willow in 2011. In addition to her family and friends, Mildred’s great joys in life were her flowers and her birds.  She always looked forward to Spring planting and the return of her beloved bluebirds. Our many thanks to the wonderful staff at Diamond Willow, her adopted family.  We especially appreciate the tender care they gave Mildred in the final two months of her life. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Jones-Pearson Funeral Home in Park Rapids with Rev. Abe Cardosa officiating.  Visitation is one hour prior to the service.  Interment will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery of Park Rapids next to her husband, Jake and son, Robert.  To leave online condolences or to view the video tribute please visit www.jonespearson.com
