Carl Albin

CARL LAVERNE ALBIN September 21, 1935 - November 13, 2017    Carl Laverne Albin, age 82, a long time Menahga, MN area resident died tragically and unexpectedly at his home on Monday, November 13, 2017.    Carl was born September 21, 1935 in Becker County, Minnesota and was the son of Benjamin and Lydia (Wilson) Albin of Sebeka, Minnesota. He attended the District 42 N Country School near his farm home and then went on to attend high school in Sebeka from where he graduated in 1955. Carl grew up on a farm south of Menahga. He loved the rigors of farm life and worked hard on the farm for all of his working life. He farmed with his parents until they passed away. When Carl retired, he moved into Menahga. He enjoyed attending auctions and garage sales with his very special friend, Olga Wilkowski of Menahga, Minnesota. He liked to talk about cars and tractors with his many friends. Carl and Olga often went to buffets and for pie and coffee at different locations around the area. He loved visiting with friends and neighbors at his house in Menahga.    Left to mourn his passing are his brother, Curtis Hyink of Washington; sister, Kay Mattson of Michigan; and his cousins.    He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Lydia (Wilson) Albin, and very special friend Olga Wilkowski.    Carl and Olga will be sadly missed by all who knew them.
