Ronald Ralph Lindbom

October 27, 1942 — June 14, 2018

RONALD “Ron” RALPH LINDBOM October 27th, 1942 – June 14th, 2018    Ronald “Ron” Ralph Lindbom returned to his heavenly home on June 14th, 2018 after a valiant battle with a long illness. His devotion to his family and his belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace.    Ronald was born to the late Ralph and Aune (Maisio) Lindbom in Park Rapids, MN on October 27th, 1942. He attended County School District 82 in Shell Lake Township and later graduated from Frazee High School in 1960.    In 1968 while working as a bouncer at South Shores Dance Hall on Toad Lake he met the love of his life, Levoune. He married Levoune C. Alto in Menahga, MN on October 24th, 1970. Together with Levoune they raised their two children Michelle and Ryan with patience, discipline and humility. He taught them the joy of living in the country and to see the natural beauty of living on a farm.    Ronald was self-employed his entire life. He started his career as a road maintenance operator in 1961 servicing Shell Lake Township. Thereafter his business grew and he serviced and maintained Toad Lake, Carsonville and Osage Townships. He took pride in his road grading, snow plowing maintenance and enjoyed driving his International Harvester tractors, Case International tractors and Mack trucks. In 1986 to 2007, Ronald owned and operated Ron’s Construction which included septic service construction and maintenance. He was a skilled welder and loved large equipment, his beloved dogs, living in the country and being independent.    Ronald lived by example. He was kind and soft-spoken and always had time to help others. He is dearly missed by his loved ones, who celebrate the fact that he is at peace with his creator.    Ronald is survived by his wife, Levoune; his daughter Michelle (Art) Meyer of Barnesville, MN; son, Ryan (Stacy) Lindbom of Rothsay, MN; sister, Renee (Tim) Weeks of Osage, MN; and his five grandchildren Brooke, Connor, Claire, Ryder and Ryn.    Ronald is preceded in death by his parents; three uncles, eleven aunts, and a mother and father-in-law.
