EVELYN LARIMER
August 24, 1972 ~ February 16, 2013

Evelyn Marie (Miller) Larimer passed from this world too soon into the arms of her Heavenly Father on February 16, 2013 while having fun with her family.
Evelyn was born in Missoula, Montana on August 24, 1972 to Lawrence Redman and Mary Miller. She was raised in Missoula, moving to Frenchtown for junior high & high school. She graduated from Frenchtown High School in 1991 and attended the University of Montana for two years. On May 29, 1993 she married Scott Roy Larimer in Seeley Lake, MT. They spent their first few years of marriage in Missoula where the birth of their first son, Alex took place. They moved to Nebraska to be closer to Scott's family & increased the size of their family by two, with Evie giving birth to their sons: Spencer and Paul. While raising three boys, Evie took a part time position working for Casey's. Later they moved to Minnesota to be closer to her sister, Kim and family. It was here that they completed their family with son, Nick and daughter, Libbie. While raising her family Evelyn became an assistant manager at Casey's. She touched so many lives with her bright smile and positive attitude. Evie loved giving out hugs. She would never let you go unless she gave you a hug first. Her hobbies included gardening, cooking, and most of all spending time with her family. As her kids would tell you, "She was the best Mom in the world."
She is survived by her husband, Scott; sons: Alex, Spencer, Paul and Nick; daughter, Libbie; mom, Mary Miller; mother-in-law, Betty Larimer; sisters-in-law: Nancy Larimer and Lora Elvira; brothers: Joe (Jodie) Miller, John (Sherry) Redman, Larry, Pat, Gary, Clyde Redman and Jim (Robin) Miller; sisters: Linda (Cliff) Lane, LaRee (Tom) Morris, Kim (Phil) Ylitalo, Mary (Dave) Bush and Laura Redman; uncle, Cork (Terry) Gee; numerous nieces and nephews, family and friends.
Evelyn is preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Redman; father-in-law, Ralph Larimer; Grandma, Muriel Gee; uncle, Sam Gee; brothers: Preston and Billy Redman and niece, Molly Ylitalo.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 22, 2013 at Grace Community Church in Osage MN with Reverend Paul McKibben officiating. The organist is Virginia Schwalm. Paul Frohman will be the vocalist and will sing “The Lord’s Prayer”. The congregational hymns will be: “What a Friend We Have in Jesus” and “Amazing Grace”. Scott, Alex, Spencer, Paul, Nick, & Libbie,
I was so saddened to hear of your sudden loss of Evelyn, a special wife and mother. She will be greatly missed. She adored each and every one of you as she would beam when she told me about each of you. She was so proud of you all, and valued her family most of all. I cannot imagine the depth of your pain. I have been on my knees lifting you all, your extended family, and friends up in prayer. May God bring you comfort and peace in this most difficult time.

I am deeply saddened by the sudden passing of such a wonderful person. I remember the day Evie was brought home from the hospital. So tiny and such an Angle. Unfortunately for me as we grow older and build our lives those family bonds that are so important tend to slip away from us. I regret not staying in touch with Evie. Its been many years since I have seen Evie yet the sadness and sorrow is so deep. With deepest sympathy my thoughts and prayers go out to all those who have been touched by her spirit. Rest in peace Evie. You will be missed and remain in our hearts.
