FLORENCE IDA HELENBOLT
JUNE 20, 1922 ~ JULY 19, 2012 

Florence Ida Helenbolt, age 90 of Park Rapids, MN peacefully entered eternity on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at the Heritage Living Center in Minnesota.
Florence was born on June 20, 1922 in Morgan, MN to Clarence and Ella (Zamzow) Freitag. She attended a country school around the Morgan area until she was 14. She worked as a nanny and house keeper until she was united in marriage to Charlie Helenbolt in June of 1945. This union was blessed with 4 children: Karen, Barbara, Jerry and William. After Charlie passed away Florence married Raymond Hoeft in August of 1966. She also worked for Mid Tex in Mankato, MN before returning to housekeeping. In addition to her career, Florence enjoyed dancing at the American Legion Hall and Eagles Club, making quilts, volunteering at the Senior Center, working on puzzles which brought her much enjoyment and her greatest passion was playing cards. Florence also lived in South Dakota for part of her life.
She will be lovingly remembered by her 2 daughters: Karen (Clyde) Koch of Park Rapids, MN, Barbara (Terry) Houwman of Grand Rapids, MN; Son William (Judy) Helenbolt of Lindstrom, MN; 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. As well as a host of beloved relatives and friends.
Florence was preceded in death by her husbands: Charlie Helenbolt and Raymond Hoeft; Son, Jerry Helenbolt and Grandson, Harold Houwman.
A Gathering of Remembrance will be held from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at American Legion in Park Rapids, MN. Interment will be at the Highland Cemetery in Fairfax, South Dakota at a later date.
