Linda J. Breitweser, age 62 a long time resident of Nevis, MN entered Eternity on Thursday, May 24, 2012 after a long battle with numerous health problems at the Heritage Living Center in Park Rapids, MN.
Linda was born on July 31, 1949 in Grand Forks, ND to Paul and Violet Belle Duquette. As a child she moved with her family to California where they made their home for several years. Later, they returned to Minnesota where Linda attended schools in Mahnomen and later in Menahga where she graduated in 1967. After receiving her diploma, Linda attended the Wadena Vocational Technical College where she earned her degree in cosmetology. On August 20, 1988 Linda was united in marriage to Bruce L. Breitweser at the New Life Christian Fellowship in Park Rapids. This marriage was blessed with 2 children: Tonya Lynn and Michael Thomas. Linda devoted herself to making a warm and loving home for her family. She was a wonderful cook who will be long remembered for her delicious home cooking. In addition to caring for her family, Linda worked as a cook at the Oasis Truck Stop in Park Rapids. Later, she stayed at home and cared for her grandsons: Shawn and Zachery. Because of her severe diabetes, Linda became disabled in 1995 and had undergone numerous surgeries that caused a chronic infection she fought aggressively for a long time. Linda was an avid bowler and held the league high score for many years. She enjoyed crocheting and cross-stitch. Linda took special joy in working outside in her garden raising vegetables and beautiful flowers. She especially enjoyed caring for her yard and keeping her lawn looking beautiful. She enjoyed taking adventurous trips to the casino and Moon Dance Jam. Above all, Linda devoted her life to her husband, her mother, her children and her grandchildren who she loved with all her heart.
Linda will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Bruce of Nevis; her daughter, Tonya (Brandon) Nistler of Park Rapids; her son, Michael (Christina) Mountjoy of Nevis; 7 ¾ grandchildren; her mother, Violet Bell Duquette of Park Rapids; 1 brother, Danny Duquette of Crookston; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Paul in 2008.

So very sorry to hear of Linda's passing. Not sure if you remember me, but I went to Cosmetology school with her and was her maid of honor at her wedding. I have thought of her often, but as life takes us in different paths, we never had the chance to get together in the recent past. Please know that she is dancing with the angels and will always watch over each of you. God's Blessings to all of you. Renee Sonnenberg

Linda was a good cousin, with a lot of love to give. I remember as kids it was always fun to visit Uncle Paul & Aunt Violet and to play with Linda.

We are thinking of you. Linda reminds me of my mother, Del. (Linda's Aunt.) I'm sure they are together in heaven and don't have to deal with diabetes anymore.
