I just heard of Verna's passing and needed to share what a wonderful woman she was for me. I not only worked with Verna (Chisago County) but her and Bill became dear friends. Verna helped me through some hard times and helped me to change my life around. I will always be eternally grateful to her and Bill. May they rest in peace. My thoughts and prayers to the family.

Verna was a wonderful woman and a great gardener. She would stop and talk to "Rudy" and me when we were out for our daily walks. She'll be missed.

To Verna's family, my heart goes out to you and your families at this loss. We shared so much with Verna and your Dad in our visits together from Sandstone and Pine city. Most of all, such joy of life and a wonderful sense of humor. I am grateful for the time with your family and sharing and caring of your mom and will always remember and enjoy that spark in our memory. Our deepest sympathy. Dan & Shirley

Verna was the nicest and kindest sister-in-law anyone could ever have! She always had a smile and kind words, and uplifting humor that made you laugh. She was also a great cook, and had the best desserts, especially those delicious bars she made! My brother loved her very much, and was so proud and loving of her - now they are together again...it is not so sad when we know that...but is sad and lonely here to have her gone so suddenly. Time will heal the grief and loneliness, and you children will have beautiful memories of both your mom and dad. My deepest condolences to each of you. Bless you.

It's Friday night....we should be gathering for TGIFriday with friends.
We should be eating waffles or chicken wings and playing LCR dice game for nickels.
We miss our dear neighbor and friend Verna.
It won't be the same on East River Drive without her. Verna was a great lady and always fun to be around.
Condolences to the family.

I only met Verna 15 months ago through our Cardiac-Therapy class. I looked forward to going because of her she encouraged me, when I had to have my pacemaker/defibrillate unit put in she was my go to gal, with her generous heart and constant words of kindness, convinced me that it was for the best I get it done.
She always wore a smiled and we talked about our grandchildren and children whom she was so very proud of. She laughed when she talked about going to visit her family, bringing bars to family events. Verna will be sadly missed she was my friend and I will truly miss her. She is now in the loving arms of God and Bill they will take special care of her because she was a very special Lady. My very deepest sympathy and prayers to her family. Good Bye my Friend

To Verna's Families- my thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of loss. Verna was a very special lady that had a smile as big as Lake Superior by Duluth, Minnesota and also had the heart of Mother Teresa. She always smiled and that sparkle in her eye was always something very special to me- I remember seeing her in Church and also at McDonalds too. I will miss that friendly spirit of hers but I am entrusted to God that he has her in his loving arms now. Rest In Peace Verna and Godspeed to You- "Go Rest High On That Mountain" with Jesus Forever with your loved ones right by your side- Amen and May God Always Hold You Tenderly In The Palm of His Hand. With Sincerest Sympathy and Friendship Always, Mark J.VonBank-Park Rapids, Minnesota- Parishoner at Saint Peter The Apostle Catholic Church.
