VIRGIL ARNOLD BUCHITE
February 25, 1959 ~ March 27, 2012 

Virgil Arnold Buchite, age 53 of Akeley, MN passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Park Rapids, MN with his loved ones at his side.
Virgil was born on February 25, 1959 to Wilbur and Elvina (Sata) Buchite in Crosby, MN. He grew up in Fifty Lakes, MN and attended the Pine River schools. In 1982, Virgil married Kathy Endriss in Pine River. Their union was blessed with 3 children: Rory, Peggy and Joey. Virgil loved the outdoors especially when he could be fishing, duck hunting or ice racing. He had many different occupations, but his most recent and enjoyable was masonry work for Donny Knowles. Virgil will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his children: Rory, Peggy and Joey; 10 grandchildren; 2 sisters: Patty Neft and Lorretta Hardy; brother, Willmar “Buck” Buchite; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Virgil was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Elvina and sister, Yvonne.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, April 1, 2012 at the Jones-Pearson Funeral Home in Park Rapids, MN. Jim Sewell will officiate, play the guitar and sing “Shall We Gather at the River”, “Why Me Lord”, “Nothing but the Blood”, “A New Doxology”, “Growing Young” and “In a Little While We’re Going Home”. Honorary urnbearers will be: Donny Knowles, Donny Moore, Al Bohall, Gary Bohall, John Bohall, Terry Bush, Ken Cunningham, Kelly Raph and Floyd Johnson. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
