Dale Junior Breitweser, age 20, a life long Park Rapids,MN area resident was freed from this life early on Sunday morning, September 4, 2011 following a single car accident while on his way to work.
Dale was born on the opening weekend of fishing, May 11, 1991 to Dale and Tami (Storbakken) Breitweser in Park Rapids, MN. He was home schooled by his mother and graduated in 2009. During his junior and senior years he participated in the Park Rapids Panthers Wrestling Program. He was also involved with the Explorers Law Enforcement program. Dale had a heart for children and had served as a camp counselor for the Lake Geneva Christian Camp. He was a mentor to countless kids in a variety of ways. He would have been a great father. Dale was an ambitious young man who was not afraid of hard work. He was handy working with his hands and had helped his dad build several log homes. He was currently employed as a cook at Bullwinkles in Nevis; but also worked for Dwight Carlson Excavating and Plumbing and for the Rick Edwards Lawn service. For many years, Dale was an active member of the Park Rapids Assembly of God Youth Group. He also faithfully operated the sound equipment for the church services. Dale was secure in his salvation through Christ. He loved the outdoors; especially when he could be hunting or fishing with family and friends. He also enjoyed paintballing and dirt biking. Dale was an avid World War II buff and had built up an impressive gun collection of his own. He loved to play volleyball at Faith Baptist Church on Monday nights. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his parents, brothers and sisters. He especially enjoyed investing his time in the lives of his nieces and nephews who he loved with all his heart.
He will be lovingly remembered by his mother and step-father, Tami (Ron) Alden of Park Rapids; his father, Dale Breitweser also of Park Rapids; his 5 siblings: Christine (Jared) Bungum and Josh Breitweser both of Dilworth, Joe (Rachel Olson) Breitweser and Hannah Breitweser both of Park Rapids and Sarah Breitweser at home; step-sister, Megan Alden and step-brother Lucas Alden both of Park Rapids; 6 nieces & nephews: Tori, Jordan, Erin, Lexi, Kimberlee and Jack; his step-grandparents: Bob and Ellie Lampl of Park Rapids; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Dale was preceded in death by his grandparents and his three month old sister, Melissa.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM Friday, September 9, 2011 at the Park Rapids Assembly of God Church with Reverend Kris Clark officiating. Interment will be made next to his baby sister, Melissa at the Greenwood Cemetery in Park Rapids. We are so sorry for your loss. Our two families are experiencing the worst nightmare on earth - losing a child. Hold tight. Know that your son was loved and will be remembered as our son will. Maybe they are hanging out together. Much much love in Christ for you all. Breathe, pray, breathe, pray repeat.

Dear Cousins, What can I say? Just spoke with Auntie Carol, and she told me of your loss. I'm so very, very sorry. It seems like it was only yesterday that you'd come by Mom's "estate sale" at her old apartment, and one of the boys bo't my old VCR for $1 and next thing I'd heard, he'd managed to take it apart and get it working again. I'm guessing either that or Rhonda's wedding was prob'ly the last time I ever saw Dale, Jr., or any of his siblings. It saddens me to consider how distant our Family is growing in this 21st Century; but on the other hand, my heart is gladdened whenever I think about the size of the family reunion we'll all have at the Rapture. I'd guess that the grief of sweet, little Melissa's passing is still fresh enough on your hearts that Junior's death must feel like too much to bear. I know that you know the most peace and best comfort comes from God Himself, Who worketh all things together for good (Romans 8:28) in His own time (Ecclesiastes 3:11). For a woman of words, I'm having a really tough time finding the right words to bring you any comfort. I'll just let God's Word do its job of comforting you and leave it at that. One of the most reassuring statements in all the Holy Scriptures was made by Job after he'd lost All of his children in a cyclone. Job 19:25 says: "For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:"

Our heart aches for all of you. Dale was an awesome guy and we can't even imagine how much you will miss him. Grief is unbelievably strong, but we know that Christ conquered death and His victory is even stronger. It is inspiring to know that Dale was so in love with his Heavenly Father; and that he is basking in that love as we speak. I cannot wait for the day that arrived so early for him. Look to each day as not a day that you are without him, but a day that he is with Jesus -- and as one day closer to the day you will be there as well. Much love, prayer and thoughts

Tami and the rest of the family: I was so saddened when Lenny had shared the news of Dales' death. I can't imagine the pain and heaviness you all are experiencing. May you all be surrounded with much love through these most difficult days. May God give her the strength and peace as time goes on and know that Dale's memories will live on for eternity. May the wonderful memories of Dale bring you much comfort.
