Sandy Rohloff, age 64 of Park Rapids, MN formerly of LeSueur, MN passed away unexpectedly at her home on Sunday, July 18, 2010.
Sandy was born on December 27, 1945 in Fergus Falls, MN to Donald and Esther (Fleischfresser) Rarer. It was in the Crosby-Ironton, MN area that she attended public school through the sixth grade. At the age of 12, Sandy moved with her family to LeSueur, MN where she graduated from the LeSueur Public High School with the Class of 1963. As a young woman, Sandy gained employment working as a clerk with the Local drug store in LeSueur. Later she started working for the Green Giant Company as a print shop employee in a career that spanned many years. After Green Giant closed, Sandy began working for the Crystal Farms Egg Company where she remained until her retirement in 2000. Sandy was united in marriage to James Edward Rohloff on June 25, 1977 in LeSueur. She loved horses and along with her husband had owned several of them over the years. She enjoyed attending garage sales and did her best to fill up all of their garages with her discovered treasures. She was a wonderful cook and baker who will be long remembered for her delicious homemade hotdishes, roast beef dinners and pork roasts. She looked forward to spending time with her family and enjoyed reading in her quiet times. Sandy was a member of the Otto Hendrickson American Legion Post Auxiliary #212 of Park Rapids and the Guy L. McDermeit VFW Post Auxiliary of Menahga. Above all, Sandy devoted her life to her husband, James who she loved with all her heart.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of the past 33 years, James of Park Rapids; her sister, Dorothy Osterman of Park Rapids; her brother, Walter (Kathi) Rarer of Annandale, MN as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: Gerald and Donald Jr.

Jim and Sandy both played a very important role in my childhood and both of them were like parents to me as I was growing up. I have many fond memories of spending time with them...listening to country music, grilling out and spending time with them shooting the breeze.
Sandy was a very kind hearted person who would give you the shirt off her back to make sure that you were happy. I will think back to all the fond memories of her and smile. God will welcome Sandy with open arms and I'm sure she will be waiting for all of us when we're lucky enough to join her.
